Joy Olival was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii. She loves everything about it, except its lack of a drive-in theater. She has a love for all things geeky and nerdy. When she’s not reading or writing, she can usually be found playing copious amounts of video games, trying out new board games, making theories about her latest TV show obsession, or creating travel plans. Wasp Queen is her debut novel.
